There are many different types of soap being made in Hawaii, but none like Island girl Va’alele Torres’ creations developed and made right here on the island. Her company Weihiwa Soap Company started handcrafting soap 15 years ago in her Waianae home.

It started as an opportunity to create rich and luxurious bath products that are natural and to the dream of starting her own business, doing what she had a passion for.

This holiday season, Torres is taking it to the next level, expanding her product line, and making her line more available to a larger clientele.

A few of her all natural products include, Lavender & Frankincense skin salves, to all natural soaps including Goat Milk Soap and to Emulsified Sugar Scrubs made from Kona Coffee, even one from called Plumera Sands.

Va’a is looking at taking her company to the next level – taking the expansion from her home based business, to expos and craft fairs, now, to a new retail location at the new Ka Makana Alii Shop-ping Mall in Kapolei called “Homegrown”. Her products are of high quality, plant based formulas and is handcrafted, and the best part is is created and manufactured right here on island. For more information
